The Painting
The Painting that i chose was called "Work in Progress". It is an abstract painting. I chose this painting because when i look at it i see a person that is suffering. I sort of related this to my character, Portia. I related it to Portia because she is anxious to know what is bothing her husband, and she is hurt that her husband does not trust her enough to tell her.

Marlinette's Caesar Project Blog
My freshman year when I was sitting down at the Shakespeare play as I watched the students from my school act in front of the whole school, I thought to myself, you will never see me doing that! And up until the beginning of this year I thought the same thing. Not because I can’t act. I think that anyone can act, it’s a matter of having the courage to step out in front of an audience and put on that mask, that different character. Last year my best friend participated in the play Othello. And this year she encouraged me to join the class. I realized, that there is nobody to impress but myself. I guess it’s a part of maturing when you realize that no one else in life gives you anything or does anything for you so who cares if they think negatively about you.. At least I know that I am doing something for myself. So far, we have been learning our lines and trying to get off book. We are also learning the block of the play, how to act it out while saying our lines. At the beginning I thought it was going to be impossible to memorize my lines but it wasn’t, it was actually easy. After reading it over and over it eventually stays in your head. I feel if everyone in this class has a positive attitude towards this play and put their all into making this happen we can do an outstanding performance.
